Similar Species:
  • Lacinipolia olivacea petita (Smith, 1901) is apparently not distinguished by DNA barcode.
  • Lacinipolia strigicollis (Wallengren, 1860)
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)

Taxonomic Notes: Lacinipolia bucketti Selman & Leuschner, 2001, n. sp., Tax. Rep. Int. Lepid. Surv., 2(8): 4; fig. 5, 1. It is possible that this species refers to Lacinipolia strigicollis (Wallengren, 1860) which may have erroneously been treated by Selman (1975) (unpublished thesis) and subsequent authors as a senior synonym of Lacinipolia illaudabilis (Grote, 1875).
