Synonymy: adusta (Esper, 1790) (Phalaena) groelandica (Zetterstedt, 1839) (Hadena) sommeri (Lefèbvre, 1836) (Hadena) Taxonomic Notes: Mniotype adusta (Esper, 1790) includes as synonym 9982 Mniotype sommeri (Lefèbvre, 1836). This Eurasian species is found in Greenland but extralimital to the US and Canada. - Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010), ZooKeys, 40: 153.
