Distribution: USA: southwestern UT, northeastern AZ, southern NV, southeastern CA (Troubridge 2008).
Similar Species:
  • Sympistis obscurata (Barnes & McDunnough, 1912) tends to have darker forewing and duskier hindwing with more contrasting venation; possible range overlap with pachet in eastern Mojave Desert (Dave Wikle, pers. comm., 2022).
