Type locality: Colorado. |
| Similar Species: |
- Sympistis coprocolor (Troubridge & Crabo, 1998) is separated by distribution. S. terminalis has distinct orbicular and reniform spots, typically nearly obsolete in S. coprocolor; subterminal shade extends to costa; basal 2/3 of hind wing whiter and more pale.
