Distribution: Holotype (amado): Babiquivera Mts., AZ. Holotype (suffusa): Babiquivera Mts., AZ. Similar Species: Plusiodonta compressipalpis Guenée, 1852 is apparently an eastern species. Specimens from Arizona identified as compressipalpis appear to be well separated by DNA barcode. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Plusiodonta amado Barnes, 1907 • Plusiodonta suffusa Hill, 1924
