Distribution: WV, NC, SC, KY (Butler 1987) Genitalia: See Jour. Lepid. Soc., 41: 105 Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: appalachiensis (Butler, 1987) (Bomolocha) Taxonomic Notes: Hypena appalachiensis (Butler, 1987), n. sp., Jour. Lepid. Soc., 41: 104-107, was formerly in the genus Bomolocha.
