Similar Species:
  • 8367 Tetanolita palligera is a western species.
  • 8367.01 Tetanolita nr. palligera ranges from Mexico north to Utah and east to New England. Not reliably identified without dissection or DNA.
  • 8368 Tetanolita floridana is an eastern species. Antenna of male has node within basal third. Otherwise, may not be reliably separated from R. sobrialis but on average tends to have a more irregular median band, a dark patch at the apex and a more contrasting st. line which continues onto the HW.
  • 8387 Renia sobrialis is an eastern species. Antenna of male has node beyond basal third.

  • Taxonomic Notes: Tetanolita nr. palligera is an undescribed species found in Mexico north to Utah and east to New England, Don Lafontaine (pers., comm., 03/15/2018).
