Distribution: Caribbean, Central and South America. Type locality: "Iamaica Infula". Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: Zygaena achemon Fabricius, 1781 Taxonomic Notes: Cosmosoma achemon (Fabricius, 1781) is tentatively added to the list based on a single specimen from Monroe Co., FL, a likely stray or stow away photographed on 6/10/2021 by Joseph Montes de Oca.
