Distribution: New Brunswick to Alberta and in the west south to Colorado
Description/
Field Marks:
7926 Notodonta scitipennis is darker with medial gray area of forewing extending beyond CuA2 and a less well defined and less deeply scalloped pm. line.
Similar Species:

  • manitou Neumoegen & Dyar, 1893 (Notodonta)
  • Taxonomic Notes: Notodonta manitou Neumögen & Dyar, 1893, described as a variety of 7926 Notodonta scitipennis Walker, 1862, is raised to full species status, MONA Fascicle 22.1A: 86.
