Taxonomic Notes: Pheosia rimosa Packard, 1864 formerly included as synonyms 7923 Pheosia portlandia Edwards, 1886 and Pheosia californica (Stretch, 1872); the latter was raised to full species status with the former as a new synonym, MONA Fascicle 22.1A: 79.
