Synonymy: Pityeja ornata Rindge, 1958
Pityeja picta of authors not Schaus, 1898
Taxonomic Notes: Rindgeria ornata (Rindge, 1958), n. comb. (n. genus) in Heppner (2010), was formerly placed in the genus Pityeja in the Hodges 1983 Checklist and treated as unplaced in Scoble (1994:139).
