Field Marks:
See Ferris & Schmidt (2010) and Sala ([1971]).
Caution: as of 2023, BOLD identifications of "Synaxis mosesiani" based on DNA barcoded specimens appear to refer to Prochoerodes.
Genitalia: See Ferris & Schmidt (2010) and Sala ([1971]).
Similar Species:
  • Tetracis jubararia is reliably separated by genitalia only.

Synonymy:
  • mosesiani Sala [1971] (Synaxis) - MONA 1983: 6961; Type locality: Holotype: Carnavon Way, Los Angeles, CA
  • Taxonomic Notes: Tetracis mosesiani (Sala, [1971]), n. comb. in Ferris & Schmidt (2010), was formerly in the genus Synaxis.
