Distribution: Southern Arizona; south into Mexico (SierraMadre Occidental) at least to Zacatecas - Peigler & Kendall (1993). Type locality: Arizona. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Saturnia anona Ottolengui, 1903 • Agapema interrupta Draudt, 1929 Taxonomic Notes: Agapema anona (Ottolengui, 1903) includes as subspecies 7754.2 Agapema dyari Cockerell, 1914 and 7754.3 Agapema platensis Peigler & Kendall, 1993 in Kitching et al. (2018), both treated by some authors as full species.
