Distribution: Type locality: Brazil, R[io] Madeira; Espiritu Santo. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Salbia cassidalis Guenée, 1854 • Salbia pellucidalis Warren, 1889 • Salbia praeformatalis Möschler, 1890 • Salbia squamosalis Wallengren, 1860 Taxonomic Notes: Salbia cassidalis Guenée, 1854, reported from Hidalgo County, 12/3/2013, 2013 Season Summary, News Lepid. Soc., 56(S1):92, is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico.
