Distribution: Canada: QC, ON; USA: NH to MN. Description/ Field Marks: Male: "Note the all black discal spot pointed to the interior of the wing, the typical antennae and the very large yellow band on the third abdominal segment" (Handfield & Handfield 2024) Female: unknown Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: augeri Handfield & Handfield, 2024 (Sesia); Holotype: "Taylor Lake, near S[ain]te-Cécile-de-Masham, Québec".
