Taxonomic: Notes Brypoctia ramuscula (Dyar, 1906): This species has been reported for many years under the name B. ramosa (Schaus, 1892), but Yakovlev et al. (2019) determined that ramuscula is the valid species that occurs in NA (TX); ramosa is restricted to South America. Additionally, the 2023 checklist listed Zeuzera aeetes Druce, 1901 as a synonym of ramosa, but Yakovlev et al. (2019) recognized it as a valid South and Central American species that does not occur in NA.
Synonymy:
  • ramuscula (Dyar, 1906) (Zeuzera) - MONA 1983: [NEW]; TL: Brownsville, TX.
Note: revised status and new combination in Yakovlev et al. (2019).
  • ramosa of authors; (not Schaus, 1892) (Zeuzera) - MONA 1983: 2697
  • Distribution: USA: LRGV, TX.
