Taxonomic Notes: |
Nycthia pimana (Busck, 1907) was formerly unassigned to genus in Meltzer & Brown (2014). Pogue (1986) proposed the genus Nycthia for this species in his unpublished Ph.D. dissertation and is nomen nudum (unavaillable). Brown (2019) published the name Nycthia, new genus, Zootaxa, 4671(2): 205. This species was number 3763 in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist). (3852 (1983 list) Phalonidia stramiodes (Grote, 1873) is a synonym of 3807 Phalonidia lepidana.) |
