Distribution: Type locality: Loma Linda, CA.

Miner on Ceanothus crassifolius, erroneously identified as Prunus ilicifolia in the original description (Braun, 1972).
Description/
Field Marks:
Forewings gray with faint brownish tinge , evenly and finely irrorate (Braun 1972).
Similar Species:
  • Tischeria ceanothi Walsingham, 1890 lacks the "minutely and uniformly irrorate aspect of the fore wings [of immaculata]" and is separated by genitalia (Braun 1972).
  • Tischeria ambigua Braun, 1915

Synonymy: Tischeria immaculata Braun, 1915
Taxonomic Notes: Tischeria immaculata Braun, 1915, rev. stat., formerly treated as a synonym of Tischeria ceanothi Walsingham, 1890 in Puplesis & Diškus (2003), is returned to full species status by van Nieukerken & Eiseman in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) (2023).
