Synonymy: aureoapicella (Möschler, 1890) (Psecadia) abraxasella (Walker, 1864) (Psecadia) extralim. abraxasella (Walker, 1864) (Psecadia) extralim. ssp. a. clarissa Busck, 1914 (Ethmia) Taxonomic Notes: Ethmia abraxasella (Walker, 1864) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico.
