Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Betulaceae Ericaceae Fagaceae Grossulariaceae Juglandaceae Malvaceae[Tiliaceae] Rosaceae Salicaceae Sapindaceae.  Host genera: Acer Alnus Amelanchier Arbutus Betula Carpinus Corylus Fragaria Holodiscus Juglans Malus Ostrya Populus Prunus Pyrus Quercus Ribes Rosa Rubus Salix Sorbus Tilia Vaccinium.  Notes: food plant generalist on many kinds of hardwoods (Crabo et al 2014); some records may be unreliable (Wagner et al 2011).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species.
