Distribution: FL north to at least NC and west to at least MS. Similar Species: Pyreferra pettiti has forewings less pointed and with medial and pm. lines less smooth. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: slotteni Troubridge, 2020 (Pyreferra)   Type locality: Holotype: USA: Florida, Alachua Co.: Gainesville. Taxonomic Notes: Pyreferra slotteni Troubridge, 2020, n. sp., Insecta Mundi, 0789: 35; Fig. 53, 103, 138.
