Distribution: Southeast United States. Bald cypress. Seasonality and Size: October - April. Wingspan ~ 15-18 mm. Larva and Host Plants: Bald cypress. Description/ Field Marks: Gray forewing. Pinkish to dark brownish-gray hindwing; Forewing maculation muted except for black line in fold connecting deeply zigzagged antemedial and postmedial lines. Distinctive male genitalia with saber like spine projecting from right side and sometimes extending beyond tip of abdomen. Similar Species: See also 9925.1 - L. adipel, 9928 - L. thaxteri.
