Synonymy: albipuncta (Barnes & Benjamin, 1925) (Xanthothrix); Holotype: Kaweah, CA. Note: stat. rev. (Keegan et al. 2026); described as a form of C. ranunculi (Edwards, 1878). Host Plants: Stillman's tickseed (Leptosyne stillmanii) (Keegan et al. 2026). Similar  : Species 931671 Chrysoecia ranunculi: lacks a large round pale spot at end of cell.
