Distribution: Southeastern AZ and southwestern NM southward to the State of Durango, Lafontaine et al. (2010).
Description/
Field Marks:
Bryolymnia ensina typically has the dark forewing basal basal patch extending about half the distance to the inner margin, one or two dark streaks between the reniform spot and the st. line and lacks the hoary-gray shading in subterminal area of B. biformata.
Similar Species:
  • 9683.1 Bryolymnia biformata typically has dark basal area reaching the inner margin and a subterminal area with hoary-gray shading.

  • Taxonomic Notes: Bryolymnia ensina (Barnes, 1907), comb. n., was transferred from the genus Elaphria, in Lafontaine et al. (2010), Zookeys, 39: 198.
