Similar Species: Ethmia umbrimarginella Busck, 1907 is larger (wingspread = ~20mm vs. ~17-18mm) and has a longitudinal orange streak extending centrally from base to end of cell, lacking in lassenella. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: lassenella Busck, 1908 (Ethmia) - MONA 1983: 0963; Lectotype: Redington, Pima Co., AZ.
