Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Phragmites Phalaris Glyceria.  Host genera: Phragmites Phalaris Glyceria.  Host extended: Phragmites, Phalaris, Glyceria.  Host extended: grasses (Beadle & Leckie 2012); bores into the stems of coarse grasses (Crabo et al 2014).  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: ophiogramma (Esper, 1793) (Phalaena) - MONA 1983: [NEW] biloba (Haworth, 1809) (Noctua) Taxonomic Notes: Lateroligia ophiogramma (Esper, 1793) is now known in North American fauna north of Mexico.
