Distribution: Suggested by Heppner as a species straying into, but not breeding in, Florida. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: vultuosa (Grote, 1875) (Hadena) - MONA 1983: 9341 ssp. a. vultuosa (Grote, 1875) (Hadena) - MONA 1983: 9341 ssp. b. multicolor (Dyar, 1904) (Hadena) Taxonomic Notes: Apamea vultuosa: Includes as a subspecies Apamea multicolor [9342].
