Type locality: "Texas, Mr. Belfrage, No. 112. Bastrop Co., Mr. Meske
Description/
Field Marks:
Original description states "Fore wings yellow white..." while Poole states "The basal half of the forewing is pure white."
Similar Species:
  • Ponometia virginalis (Grote, 1881)

Synonymy: Tarache binocula Grote, 1875
Taxonomic Notes: Ponometia binocula: Formerly placed in the genus Tarachidia, ZooKeys, 39: 1-160.
