Synonymy: Cryphia villificans Barnes & McDunnough, 1918
Taxonomic Notes: Hyperstrotia villificans (Barnes & McDunnough, 1918) was synonymized with 9035 Hyperstrotia nana by Lafontaine & Schmidt (2015) and returned to full species status by Schmidt et al. (2018), ZooKeys, 788: 245, based on new DNA barcode evidence.
