Field Marks: |
WS = 22-27 mm, "... bluish gray species that varies from pale to dark gray. The fringe of the hindwing is gray or only partially white." - Metzler & Franclemont (1991). |

| Similar Species: |
- Paectes pygmaea averages smaller with "dark hindwing with contrasting white fringe." - Metzler & Franclemont (1991). The barcode tree for pygmaea and abrostolella includes at least four Barcode Index Numbers (BINs) or branches each possibly representing a good species.
- Paectes abrostoloides averages larger and is more brown.
