Taxonomic Notes:	Zale lafontainei Troubridge, 2020, n. sp., Insecta Mundi, 0789: 20, Fig. 7a, 7b, 7c, 71, 123. This species was listed as Zale viridans of authors; (not Guenée, 1852) in Lafontaine & Schmidt (2015) and includes as synonyms Z. strigimacula of authors; (not Guenée, 1852) from Florida and Z. obsita of authors; (not Guenée, 1852) from Florida in Schmidt, Lafontaine & Troubridge (2018), ZooKeys, 788: 246. This species is in the Zale strigimacula species complex near Zale erilda Schaus, 1940 and is represented at BOLD under the name Zale n. sp. 5 in BOLD:ACD9041, a BIN group which includes examples from Puerto Rico identified as Z. erilda. "True" Z. viridans is extralimital north of Mexico and was removed from the list in Lafontaine & Schmidt 2015.
