    Note: The original spelling was "clintonii", a spelling which does not conform to ICZN Article 31.1.2 with regard to gender. Although Article 31.1.3 suggests that the original spelling be preserved, Article 33.3.1 states that an incorrect subsequent spelling is deemed to be a correct original spelling if it is in prevailing usage (the spelling "clintoni" has been in prevailing use and dates back to at least Van Duzee (1897)).
