Taxonomic Notes: Uranophora leucotelus ([Butler], 1876), first described by Walker (1854:232) as a variety of terminalis Walker without a subspecific name, is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico, reported from Hidalgo County, TX 1/13/2013, 2013 Season Summary, News Lepid. Soc., 56(S1):106. In an oversight, Hampson (1898) included the type species of both genera under Napata but Uranophora has precedence. This error has been repeated by many authors since.
