Distribution: NS west Pacific coast and south into central CA, northern ID, northern Great Lakes, VT and southern Appalachians, ZooKeys, 788: 44. Seasonality and Size: July to early August Genitalia: See ZooKeys, 788: 39-55. Similar Species: 8098 Clemensia albata, 8098.1 Clemensia ochreata, 8098.2 C. umbrata are best separated by differences in genitalia where ranges overlap. See flight times. Synonymy: umbrata Packard, 1872 (Clemensia) irrorata Edwards, 1873 (Clemensia) Taxonomic Notes: Clemensia umbrata Packard, 1872 is raised from synonymy of 8098 C. albata, ZooKeys, 788: 42.
