Distribution: AZ and Mexico Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: alector (Druce, 1887) (Heterocampa) crenulata Schaus, 1921 (Crinodes) Taxonomic Notes: Crinodes alector (Druce, 1887), is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico, a single specimen (larva) from Arizona collected in 1983, MONA Fascicle 22.1A: 194.
