Distribution: New Mexico southward through western Texas to Big Bend NP - Miller et al. (2021).
Similar Species:

Synonymy:
  • aonides (Strecker, 1899) (Heterocampa) - MONA 1983: 7971
      Type locality: New Mexico.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Astiptodonta aonides (Strecker, 1899), n. comb. and n. gen. in Miller et al. (2021), was formerly placed in the genus Litodonta.
