Distribution: USA: AZ, NM - Miller et al. (2021) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: melanopa Barnes 1901 (Dasylophia); Type locality: Huachuca Mountains, AZ seriata of authors not Druce 1887 (Oedemasia) Taxonomic Notes: Dasylophia melanopa Barnes, 1901, rev. stat. in Miller et al. (2021), MONA Fascicle 22.1B:229, was formerly treated as D. seriata (Druce, 1887), now considered extralimital north of Mexico.
