Distribution: Across Canada and northern US south to New Mexico and Arizona.
Type locality: Colorado.
Similar Species:
  • 7900.1 Clostera multnoma replaces C. brucei in British Colubia to souther California and northwestern Colorado.

Synonymy: Ichthyura brucei Edwards, 1885
