Description/ Field Marks: |
Legs reddish to black and a reddish-brown band on the side of the thorax extending from just behind the eye to the abdomen. |
Similar Species: |
- Hemaris thysbe (Fabricius, 1775) has white legs; lacks reddish-brown band on the side of the thorax.
- Hemaris diffinis (Boisduval, 1836)
