Distribution: Trans-Pecos region of western Texas and southern New Mexico - Peigler & Kendall (1993).
Similar Species:

Synonymy:
  • dyari Cockerell, 1914 (Agapema) REV. STAT.
      Type locality: Chihauhua, Mexico.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Agapema dyari Cockerell, 1914, rev. stat. (St Laurent in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023), was originally described as a subspecies of Agapema anona (Ottolengui, 1903) and later raised to full species status in Peigler & Kendall (1993), then returned to subspecies status is Kitching et al. (2018). Work by Rubinoff & Doorenweerd (2020) supported a return to full species status.
