Synonymy: deceptusella (Chambers, 1879) (Lithocolletis) ident. uncert. - MONA 1983: 0748 Taxonomic Notes: Phyllonorycter deceptusella (Chambers, 1879), a name regarded as a nomen dubium in Landry & Wagner (1995), is retained as a valid name by Eiseman & Davis (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023) pending further study.
