  • Taxonomic Notes: Operophtera occidentalis: Operophtera bruceata occidentalis (Hulst, 1896), listed in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) as a full species, was synonymized as a subspecies of Operophtera bruceata (Hulst, 1886) in Troubridge & Fitzpatrick (1993). This species is treated as a full species in Pohl et al. (2016) (unpublished provisional checklist) and Pohl et al. (2018) following findings in Gwiazdowski et al. (2013), Ann. Entomol. Soc. Am. 106(2): 143-151.
