Distribution: Type locality: "Victoria, B. C. (E. M. Anderson); Seattle, Wash. (T. Kincaid); Huachuca Mts., Arizona (Dr. Barnes); and a fifth, doubtful, from Kaslo, B. C. (Dyar)."
Description/
Field Marks:
Males have antennae filiform (simple).
Similar Species:
  • Undescribed species nr. pearsalli represented by BOLD:AAB1356 has a more northerly and more inland distribution.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy: Euchoeca pearsalli Dyar, 1906
Taxonomic Notes: Venusia pearsalli (Dyar, 1906) has been the source of much confusion. It is most likely represented at BOLD by BIN BOLD:AAB5482 with most specimens misidentified as "Venusia obsoleta".
