Distribution: Suggested by Heppner as a species straying into, but not breeding in, Florida. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: affirmata (Guenée, [1858]) (Scotosia) - MONA 1983: 7286 progressata (Walker, 1862) (Scotosia) Taxonomic Notes: Rheumaptera affirmata (Guenée, [1858]), n. comb. in Brehm et al. (2019), was formerly in the genus Triphosa.
