Taxonomic Notes: Arcobara cavana (Druce, 1892) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico, (Texas). This species was formerly in the genus Scopula and includes as a synonym 7172.1 Scopula calotis (Dyar, 1912), Trop. Lepid. Res.. 24(1): 59-60.
The addition of 7172.1 Scopula calotis was the result of a duplication error.
