Synonymy: Pityeja ornata Rindge, 1958
Pityeja picta of authors not Schaus, 1898
Taxonomic Notes: Rindgeria ornata (Rindge, 1958), n. comb. (n. genus) in Heppner (2010), was formerly placed in the genus Pityeja in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and treated as unplaced in Scoble (1994:139).
