Montane and Piedmont, from Quebec to Alberta southward to northern Florida, Montana, Colorado, Mississippi.
Seasonality
and Size:
May - early July. FWL ~ 19-26 mm.
Larva and
Host Plants:
Many host plants include Alnus, Betula, Prunus, Ulmus, Vibernum, Pinus.

Taxonomic Notes: Tetracis cachexiata Guenée, [1858], n. comb. in Ferris & Schmidt (2010), was formerly in the genus Synaxis.
