Distribution: California and southern Nevada, from near 0 - 5,100 ft. elev.
Seasonality
and Size:
Early October - November. FWL ~ 17-23 mm.
Larva and
Host Plants:
Host plants include Ceanothus, Cercocarpus, Prunus and Ribes.
Genitalia: See Ferris & Schmidt (2010).
Similar Species:

Synonymy: Metanema hirsutaria Barnes & McDunnough, 1913
Taxonomic Notes: Tetracis hirsutaria (Barnes & McDunnough, 1913), n. comb. in Ferris & Schmidt (2010), was formerly in the genus Synaxis.
