Distribution: Higher elevations of mountains in southeastern Arizona (Graham, Pima and possibly Apache Counties). From ~ 8,000 - 8,900 ft. elev. Seasonality and Size: Early October, perhaps a bit earlier. FWL 22-25 mm. Larva and Host Plants: Aspen-coniferous forest habitat. Genitalia: See Ferris & Schmidt (2010). Similar Species: No other species of Tetracis is known from the area. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: montanaria Ferris, 2010 (Tetracis) Taxonomic Notes: Tetracis montanaria Ferris, 2010, n. sp., Zootaxa, 2347:19.
