Similar Species:
  • Euchlaena detractaria Barnes & McDunnough, 1916, a southwestern species, is separated by locality.

Synonymy: Apicia packardaria McDunnough, 1940
Apicia distycharia of authors not Guenée, [1858]
Taxonomic Notes: Eusarca packardaria (McDunnough, 1940) includes as a synonym Eusarca distycharia of authors; (not Guenée, [1858]) by Schmidt & McGuinness (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023), a treatment inferred by McDunnough (1940) and apparently overlooked by Ferguson (in Hodges et al. 1983).
